My 2011 Resolution

Last day in 2010.

Every one seems talking about what he or she has done or achieved for the last twelve months. Either they talk about it on twitter or on their blog, or in both places. People also share what their resolutions will be in 2011. Me? I haven't talked about it in either places.

I'm not really that kind of person who likes to evaluate every thing. I'm not included to a group of people who contemplate their life every Decembers. Remembering what I have done during a year, thinking my wrong- or good-doings, evaluate my life, etc. I don't need a particular time to do that. I will contemplate and think deep about my life every time I need it to or any time I consider that I have to.

I'm not saying flash back your memory is a bad thing. Or making resolution is useless. I don't even resist it. I'm simply a person go with the flow. Whatever happens, happens.

But, reading too much people's tweets and writings about their resolutions and what they've done in a year makes me follow the crowd. I also have my own resolutions, you know! Well, "wishes" maybe a proper word. sengihnampakgigi

Here, I share to you my resolution (and wishes) in 2011.

1. I want to be graduated. Soon. Therefore, I have to work on my mini-thesis more seriously. Unfortunately, it seems that I'm lost in a way. Completely lost.

2. Keeping my body in shape. Yes, I want to look sexier than now. Preeeet...! Joking, people! Don't take it seriously. In 2011, I have to live a healthy life by eating healthy food, jogging routine 3 days in a week, doing other sports (I know this isn't specific. But, who cares? jelir)

3. About financial life: saving money every month. For that I have to write my daily expenses and make monthly budget. Also I try not to be a compulsive buyer. Based on my experiences often I buy something that actually I don't really need. So, it has to stop right now! Starting tomorrow I will live a thrifty life!

4. Buy an e-book reader. If I must eat only twice a day to be thrifty or be a cheapskate to get an e-book reader, so be it.

5. Reading more books. Minimum four books have to be finished reading by the end of month. With an approximation one book for one week.

6. Being consistent to write in this blog. One post each day is nice, but I can't guarantee you that I will be that consistent. Well, one post in a week--at the very least--should be acceptable.

7. Writing more and more in English in this blog. This is important! And my main aim is not to reach wider audience, or people in United Kingdom will be my subscribers (even though I don't refuse it), but it's simply I have to practice my English. My old man had spent a lot of money to enroll me in any kind of English courses and I don't want he spent for nothing. Yes, English is my second language and writing in not your mother tongue takes more effort, but I'm trying. People say language is more like habit. The more you use it, the more you you're getting accustomed to it. I hope one day my English will be flawless.

8. Become more famous and have a lot of fans. I love being famous. End of story. And I'm using my blog to get there. senyumkenyit

9. ... will add more. Soon. Or not. sengihnampakgigi

So, those are my resolutions in 2011. I promise you in 31 December 2011, if I'm still alive, I will evaluate this and write it in a post. Just like any people do.

Fans: Kimi, you have shared to us your 2011 resolution. But, you don't flash back the past year. Would you like to share it?

Errr... Errr... Not interested. Haha...

Read my previous writings if you want to know it so badly. jelir All I can say is 2010 is another flat-year to me. Nothing big happened, well except that broken heart thingy IF you call that as big or special.

Akhirul kalam*, what is your resolution? What have you achieved this year? Would you like to share it? Please, share to us on the comment below.

And, happy new year all! May you all have a blessed wonderful year ahead!

Thank You, Garuda!

So, Indonesia won the second leg AFF Suzuki Cup final. Last night at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, we kicked Malaysia 2-1. Too bad, even though we won that wasn't enough to be crowned the winner title. We lost 2-4 aggregat score from Malaysia.

After we lost 0-3 at Bukit Jalil, I didn't put so much expectation. I already prepared myself for the worst. I was ready not to disappoint if Indonesia got bad result. I still hoped Indonesia would win with big score to take the title, but there was only hope. A slight hope. Right before kicked off, I could only dare to hope that Indonesia would play a good game. I don't care about the result. As long as the team play good, that would be enough for me. And I keep supporting them.

90 minutes had passed. The referee blew long whistle. The game was over. Once again, we've failed. Four times we'd been in final, four times we had failed.

Like I've said, I don't care about the result. I don't care we lost the title. Seeing our Garuda players played so wonderful last night, they absolutely made my night! I was so proud of them, I am, and I will always be proud of my national team.

At first Indonesia got a hit when Safee made another goal to Markus' goalpost. 1-0 for Malaysia. But, our players never gave up. In fact, that goal boost their spirit. They were more focus, more determinant, and they were fighting harder. Then Nasuha scored and not so long after that M. Ridwan scored the last goal for Indonesia.

And this is what I like the most from Indonesia. The never-die spirit they have shown to us has amazed me. And their impressive game from kick-off until the very last minute has been delightful to watch. Even Coach Riedl said first 45-minutes was the best of our game in AFF Suzuki Cup. Coach Riedl also praised his players' spirit and determination. They have shown their true characters on the pitch.

*picture was taken from here

Garuda players, you may fail win the title, but all of you have won my heart and another millions of Indonesians'. Thank you so much.

*picture was taken from here

I also would like to thank Alfred Riedl. Thank you for uniting us. Thank you for making us love our national team players even more. Thank you for making us believe that Indonesia is actually a great team. I know nothing about tactics, your coaching methods, or speaking technically about football, but I do know that in your hands Indonesia becomes impressive. Okay, maybe I too oversimplize it. But, to heck with that. Once again, thank you so much. A millions of thank yous. senyum

And, never forget supporters. A great team means nothing without supporters. So here, another thank you should be addressed to our great Indonesian supporters that have supported our national players tirelessly and endlessly. More than 90 minutes, Indonesian supporters that were in GBK Stadium were singing to give their national team support. They never stop supporting. And the most thing that makes me proud of them was they are very supportive and fair. They didn't point any laser pen to Malaysia. They stayed in their place to honour our national team until the very last minute. They left GBK without making any chaos just like some of us predicted (and I'm not part of them). I salute you! I'm so proud of you. I'm so proud to be a part of you.

How about Nurdin Halid? Should I thank him? Yes, I thank him for deciding Coach Riedl stays. Glad to know that he doesn't fire Riedl. But, umm, can I ask you something, Mr. Halid? When will you have a heart attack, please? I can't wait for you to send my regard to Angel of Death. *sounds desperate*

Here, I quoted Benhan's tweet that I find it amusing!

@benhan: Even God didn't allow Nurdin to take the credit of Timnas remarkable performance. He gave us defeat after istigosah. Wonderful

Untitled #4

This is Nurdin Halid

Tapi emosinya masih terjaga, walau fokus redup#timnas

Jelang semifinal, "alien" yg muncul mulai banyak. Sejumlah politikus hadir, bahkan banyak pesan2. Riedl mulai terpojok#timnas

Ledakan emosi Riedl muncul ketika tim dibawa ke rumah Ical & istiqosah. Ribut mulut dengan manajer tim terjadi. Sangat panas#timnas

Manajemen minta agar keputusan dianulir, tp Riedl cuek #timnas

Pendeknya, agenda Riedl buat tim banyak dilangkahi manajer/sekjen. Karantina yg gagal, pers yg merangsek terus#timnas

Jadi? Ya, turunkan Nurdin! Tunggu apalagi? Say YES to Riedl and timnas, say NO to Nurdin and PSSI!

[Book] LoTR: The Two Towers

Judul: Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers (Dua Menara)
Penulis: J. R. R. Tolkien
Penerjemah: Gita Yuliani K.
Penerbit: PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama (Cetakan IV, Januari 2010)
Tebal: 432 halaman
ISBN: 978-979-22-0035-5

Buku kedua dari seri Lord of The Rings ini sudah saya selesai baca sejak semingguan yang lalu, tapi baru bisa saya ceritakan sekarang.

Penggemar: Cerita apaan, Kim?

Lagi malas. Kalian sendiri pasti tahu lah rasanya kalau malas bagaimana.

Penggemar: Duh, Kim, jangan males dong. Penasaran nih dengan buku ini.

Baiklah, baiklah.

Ehm, well, tampaknya lebih asyik kalau kalian membaca bukunya langsung ya. sengihnampakgigi

Skala 1 - 5, saya beri nilai lima untuk Dua Menara.

Last Night Disappointment

Last night AFF Suzuki Cup final was held at Bukit Jalil Stadium, Malaysia. As a truly Indonesian, of course I give support to my national team. Together with millions of other Indonesians, I watched on tv last night match between Indonesia vs Malaysia. I put so much hope and wish that Indonesia will win this match. Unfortunately, we lost 0-3 to Malaysia. And it makes our players have to fight a lot harder in the next leg in Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Stadium, Indonesia. We have to win with minimum score 4-0. Surely it will be not an easy match for us. Winning the match with big score like that takes a lot of work.

Yes, I was disappointed, still am. And I need someone or something to blame. In this post, I will not blame our players or Coach Alfred Riedl or team as a whole. Instead we have to give them credits. Winning or losing they have done their best, and that something. We must appreciate their effort in this Cup.

Also, I will not blame green laser just like Indonesian supporters out there had blamed. They said Malaysian supporters were cheating by pointing green laser to our players therefore distracting their concentration. Okay, I must admit I was upset seeing green light on my players' face. I thought it was provoking and it was distracting Markus and friends' concentration. Markus even twice denied to continue the game. One in first half and one in second half. The last one made a referee had to stop the game for a moment until there was no laser.

After approximately five minutes, game was continued. And this was a turning point for Indonesia, in a negative sense. I could see clearly that our players had lost their concentration and focus. It wasn't because of a laser or firecracker or whatever. It was themselves were the problem. After that break, our player couldn't bring themselves back to a level or state just like in they were in first half. They simply lost it. Plus, a quick goal from Malaysia striker, Safee Sali, made our defenders panicked. And that were ruining our rhythm of play.

Fans: So, who or what you're blaming for Indonesian's defeat, Kim?

First, I blame all the media that exaggerate and exploit our national team players. Just like I said on my previous post, over publicities were annoying. Please, Media, they are not a circus show. They are athletes whom are in the middle of competition and therefore need to focus. And, you, all of you, are disturbing them with your stupid stories. You force them to interview them while they're forbidden by Coach Riedl to talk to you. And you're exploiting their families and their life. If you need a story, go to Nurdin Halid. Expose his corruption in PSSI. Make that as your headlines. Blow up PSSI incompetencies for selling ticket that had caused riot yesterday in GBK. See? Those are stories that you can have. And if with your stories you could dethrone Nurdin Halid from his reign, I will be so much in debt to you.

Second, I blame Persatuan Sepakbola Seluruh Indonesia (Indonesian Football Association) Chief Nurdin Halid, and his staff, for agitating Coach Riedl and his players. For example, Nurdin Halid took the players to Bakrie's house to have lunch there. He gave speech that said without The Bakries' donation during these years, it was impossible for PSSI to administer national championship. Well, and another kind of crap. Last thing I heard, Nurdin Halid made the players to come to istighosah!

Please, Nurdin. You are overacting and overdramatize things. Indonesia won five times and played impressive was because of their own effort and hard work, not by your stupid politics and your bootlicking your powerful friends. What's the point having lunch at Bakrie's house? What's istighosah for? Are you doubting our players never pray to their God? If you are, please, that is none of your concern. Just let them pray the way they choose how to pray. No need istighosah. That (taking them to istighosah) is one of your stupid acts.

All I'm trying to say is our national team players are neither celebrities nor politicians. Have occured to your mind with all rubbish publicities from media might put a lot pressures on their shoulder? And they don't understand and don't care with politics. So, having a lunch with politicians or praying together to win the match meant nothing. I think instead of doing this and that which has been scheduled by PSSI, they'd prefer use their time to practice or to rest.

I know we're in euphoria. We're so happy seeing our players showed us good games. In group phase we beat Malaysia 5-1, Laos 6-0, Thailand 2-1, and in semifinal we defeated Phillipine 2-0 aggregate score. No wonder we have high expectation on our Garuda players. There is nothing wrong with that. But, we shall not forget that ball is round. Sometimes we play magnificent, sometimes we play thrash. You can win five times in a row, but there is also a possibility that you can lose five times in a row. This is football.

Now, let us pretend we're playing for national team. If we want to win, we've got to be focus on the game. We train hard, follow what our coach says, and screw with all publicities and politics. We're an athlete, not a celebrity or politician. If we lose a game, evaluate yourself and your friends. Listen feedback from our coach. Next, promise to ourselves that we will not make any stupid mistakes. Last, believe in ourselves that actually we can beat any opponents as long as we play discipline. Show to our supporters our invincible team work. Show them our good passings, nice dribblings, our good ball protection, sturdy defence, threat our opponents with our shots, and such. Tell them that we're dominating the game with our ball possession.

Somehow, I believe Malaysia had done this and they have proven to us that they, Malaysia, deserves to win last night match. No doubt about it.

WhatsApp

Hi, I am inviting you to get WhatsApp, an amazing Smartphone Messaging app. Get it now from http://whatsapp.com/dl/ and save on SMS.

That was an SMS that I received yesterday from my friend, Galeshka. Killed by my curiosity, I opened the URL from my Nokia E71 smartphone and downloaded the application. At first, I didn't know exactly what WhatsApp was. I simplified it as merely another chatting application for handphone.

As I opened WhatsApp for the first time, I saw a list that consist of my friends' name that already using WhatsApp. And their names are taken from my phone book. Yes, if I already save a friend's number in my Nokia E71 and he or she has installed WhatsApp on their smartphone, WhatsApp automatically adds him or her to my WhatsApp contact list. Sounds cool, heh? Guess I don't need to buy Blackberry device if my purpose is only to use Blackberry Messenger. I simply save my friends' cellphone number and invite them to use WhatsApp. And the next thing is I directly can chat with them.

But, I'm still curious what is WhatsApp? They say curiosity can kill you, but thanks God, this curiosity I'm having now isn't a dangerous one and it isn't interested to take my life away. So now, when I'm sipping my chocolate drink and biting a chocolate croissant, I'm browsing WhatsApp. I landed on this page.

WhatsApp Messenger is a smartphone messaging app which allows you to exchange messages with your friends and contacts without having to pay for SMS. WhatsApp Messenger is cross platform and available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and Nokia (beta) and yes, those phones can all message each other! To send and receive messages, WhatsApp utilizes your existing smartphone internet data plan: 3G/EDGE (or Wi-Fi when available)

In addition to messaging, iPhone, Android and BlackBerry WhatsApp Messenger users can send each other unlimited images, video and audio media messages.

Okay, WhatsApp isn't a chatting messenger application. It is an application to send text to your friends without getting charge for SMS. It uses internet connection to text your friends. But for me, it IS a chatting messenger application, just like ebuddy, slick, nimbuz, or many others. Unlike common messenger, WhatsApp uses your cellphone number as an ID.

What makes WhatsApp cooler is it allows you to send unlimited images, video and audio media messages--just like WhatsApp says in its website. I have tried this--send my niece's picture to Galeshka--and it works! Next time, I will send him my most beautiful pictures. Uhuk... *coughing*

Another cool thing from WhatsApp, I don't need to open it all the time to be online, and then drain my cellphone battery life. Even though you close the app, you still can receive a message that is sent to you by your friends. If you kind of a person who worries too much about cellphone battery life just like I do, just open your WhatsApp every time you've got a message, reply your friend's message, and exit from WhatsApp. Same thing goes if you want to text your friends: open WhatsApp application, send your friends a message, have a nice conversation with them, satisfy yourself untilyou get bored texting messages, and if you've had enough (or until your smartphone's battery is low) you're only one-click away to close the application.

But, this application is not a free one. For Nokia symbian, it is free for one year and after that you have to pay $1.99/year if you want still to continue using this application. Quite cheap, I think. $1.99/year but you can text to your friends for the whole year without paying for SMS. And if you're using internet data packet connection (considering me for an example. I'm subscribing Three internet data for 500 Mb and it cost me only Rp 30,000.00 per month), I think it is worth to try.

Pasang Emoticon di Blogspot-mu!

Kemarin saya bikin surat ke Blogspot. Bukan surat cinta pastinya, lah wong saya kagak kenal sama pegawai Blogspot-nya.

Tinggal pilih aja. Contohnya seperti ini:

duh, gambarnya jelas gak ya? Mudah-mudahan jelas deh.

Caranya mudah banget. Tinggal install add-on grease monkey dan langsung donlod dan install emoticon scriptnya. Emoticon script-nya pun gampang dicari. Tinggal google aja. Bejibun kok.

Nge-hang aja gitu. *halah*

Tapi, di Google Chrome saya gak tau kalau mau pasang add-on seperti grease monkey itu dimana. Malah dulu saya mikirnya Chrome kagak bisa dipakein add-on.

Iya deh, saya tahu saya cupu. Gak update. Ketinggalan jaman. Ngakunya pemakai setia Chrome, tapi kok ya gak tahu kalo Chrome itu ternyata bisa dipakein add-on. Mwahahahahahahaha...

By the way, buat yang belum tahu cara pasang add-on Tampermonkey (sejenis grease monkey kalau di Firefox) dan pengen pasang add-on tersebut caranya mah gampang banget. Tinggal klik Tampermonkey, terus install.

Terus, cari kode

]]></b:skin> (pake Ctrl+F aja biar mudah nyarinya. hehehe...)

img.emoticon {
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
border: 0;
}

Terakhir, silakan di-save. sengihnampakgigi

Akhirul kalam, selamat mencoba. Semoga terpuaskan. Amin.

A Letter to Blogspot

Dear Blogspot admins,

I am already using Blogspot's service for two years and ten months now. I love Blogspot and that's the reason I'm still using Blogspot as my platform to blog. Starting my blog at bloggerbercerita until now I'm blogging here at arghett.

In last two years and ten months, I know for making its user more satisfied Blogspot has made significant changes. From template design to finally add its own blog statistic. We blogspot user used to put html code from third party to count our visitor each day. I, myself, used statcounter. But now, I already removed statcounter from my blog and now using blog statistic from Blogspot. It's fun to know what your popular posts are and how many unique visitors you have each day.

I'm satisfied with Blogspot and comfortable with it. But that doesn't make Blogspot flawless. Ever since I blog from February 2008 until now, Blogspot doesn't provide us a standard emoticon at its blog-post editor. Sometimes, I need to add smiley to my writings. I want to tell my readers when I'm smiling with an emoticon instead of using " :) ". Or, I want to show them that I laugh so hard that makes me roll on my floor with an emoticon instead of using " =)) ". If you know what I mean. You do know it, don't you?

Well, yes, I can add emoticon to my writings. But that means I have to use Mozilla Firefox when I'm logging in to Blogspot. I installed grease monkey at Firefox and grease monkey allowed me to install emoticon that I could use at blog-post editor. So there, you can see me grinning with big teeth smiley. sengihnampakgigi

Bad news is I don't really like using Firefox. I don't find myself comfortable of using it, therefore I choose Google Chrome over Firefox. But, here is the problem: I can't install grease monkey on Chrome. So far I know Chrome doesn't support add on.

I wish Blogspot admins read this and consider it to add emoticon/smileys to its features. So, I still can use Chrome with comfortable every time I login to Blogspot and give my readers smileys as much as I want it to.

Thank you. Cheers!

A Letter to Bloggers

Dear fellow bloggers,

I love blogwalking. I love reading blogs. I love finding new blogs with entertaining writings. And every time I find an amusing blog, I will subscribe it to my Google Reader. Google Reader will keep me posted every time blogs that I've subscribed are posting new writings.

I don't need to tell you every time I subscribe a blog, right?

But, I've got to be honest with you, my fellow bloggers. I dislike blog that use summarized RSS feed. It makes me to click it from my Google Reader to continue reading your post. Remind me again why I subscribe your blog? Yes, to keep me updated without making myself busy visiting each of your blog to know your latest entries. But, please, why do you still make me come to your blog in order to read the rest of your writing? To increase your stats? To make me see any commercial ads on your blog?

I don't mind if you want to use summarized RSS feed, but if I have proper internet connection. With a speed 3,1 Mb per second, I will gladly come to your blog and read your post even though you put hundreds of pictures in it. Too bad, having that speed is still rare occassion here in Indonesia. I'm using Mobi as my internet service and lately it's disappointing me. The connection is too slow, just like a snail walks (snail does walk, right?).

It takes time to load your page and takes longer time to load your page that is full with pictures, widgets, or ads. And sometimes I don't have any patience to wait your page is fully loading and I have to close it. That means I don't finish reading your writing, right?

Usually, if I meet with kind of this blog in my Google Reader, I only read its first paragraphs without bothering myself to read the rest of it. I will finish reading it if I think the post is an interesting one. If not, forget it. I'll scroll down and continue reading my Google Reader.

So, with all due respect, my friends, please change your RSS feed from summarized to complete or full text. You can change it in your blog setting.

Thank you so much for your attention. Cheers!

Untitled #3

Obviously I don't know what to write. This is kind of a push-myself-hard-to-write post, even though I don't have any topic to write down.

But to make it simple, let me share you my day. A day which I have spent. A day which I experience. And, I think this is cool to write and put it into category "my daily life". Let me bore you with my stories about my activities in daily. Starting now. Until... I get bored myself. Oh, forget to tell you, I have a target to write every day here for the next seven days. I hope I can succeed.

So, today I had lunch with my friend, Puti, at Law Faculty University of Indonesia. I had porridge and mango juice, while Puti had rib soup and strawberry juice. Now, I'm thinking about it and smiling and that is about the price. A mango juice is more expensive than porridge. I mean, a drink is more expensive than a food. A mango juice cost me Rp 6,000.00 and a bowl of porridge cost me Rp 5,000.00. But, never mind. Forget it. This is my random thinking. =))

Before having lunch, I went to my campus. To be exact, I went to a computer lab at my campus. There I searched journals for my minithesis. Oh, have I told you that I'm planning to change topic for my minithesis? Yes, I'm planning to change it and still working on it. Don't you bother to ask me why I change the topic. But now I face a problem which is lazyness. I have too many reasons to hamper myself from reading journals. I am too lazy, too think every thing lightly, and in the end the consequences from that sometimes make me want to jump from a tall building in Jakarta.

And last, my father forbids me to watch Indonesia football national team that will be playing in AFF Suzuki Cup in Jakarta. The match between Indonesia versus Malaysia will be held at 26 December 2010 at Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur and at 29 December 2010 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta. He said that he was worried there might be a chaos and ended up I got trampled on. Nice. Parents do always concern for their kids, even though their kids are already 23 years old.

As a nice kid I will do as my father says. I hope Santa Claus will put my name on his "Nice kids and deserve to get presents" list. I wish he will give me an e-book reader as a christmas gift. Well, I'm not a Christian nor celebrate Christmas. But, I suppose the good heart that Santa has will ignore what my religion is. :D

Just a quick info. Here is the ticket price for AFF Suzuki Cup final. Yes, I know. Very expensive.

Lagi-lagi saya dibuat bingung.

Untitled #2

This morning when I logged in to my blogger account, I read a new comment here. It was one of my first posts in my early blogging in blogspot and I quite astonished that someone would drop her or his comment on that post. I mean, come on, it's not my popular post. No one ever reads that post (based on blogspot statistic, of course). And that makes me suspicious maybe this commentator is a friend of mine. I can say it from the way he or she commented. It's like he or she knows me. Somehow, his or her words sound familiar to me.

So, I went to the commentator's blog (and after reading her blog I knew that this commentator is a she). There, I read one post that I'm pretty confident she mentioned me.

translate: after being loyal to read my friend's blog, how could she write something good like that, where did she get all the ideas. Stunned by the choice of words that described my condition at that time *laughing* *sheepish*

I knew the person that she meant was me. I knew it! I knew it! Besides, after reading her blog, I have one name in my mind and I'm sure I'm not mistaken. This is definitely my friend. This was the one who accompanied me buying my Mucu. Remember Rini? Yes, that's her.

Fans: Please, Kim. How can you be so sure that she is your friend and the person she meant at that post was YOU?

I don't need to tell where I get that confident. I just knew it. And after I asked Rini, she said that yes that blog was hers. And the next question I asked her, "Did you mean in your post was me?" Again, she answered yes.

Now, I'm a little bit conceited and my cheeks are blushing now.

But that is not the main reason I'm writing this post, though. Yes, I'm flattered and a little bit conceited (mark the word "a little bit", okay? Hehehe...), but the most feeling that is dominating me is happy. Yes, HAPPY. I am so happy knowing my good friend finally made her blog and started writing. I am so happy because she decides to manage her own blog and that was because she always read mine and that made her thinking, "Okay, I want to learn writing and start my own blog."

Saya memulai langkah kecil yaahhh setidaknya belajar berani dulu walau masih acak-acakan.

translate: I also want to learn writing just like my friend, and I'm starting now. I made a small step. At least, I have to learn to be brave (to write), even though (my writing) still a mess.

Can I cockily say she's inspired by me? Uhuk... Uhuk... *coughing*

Above that all, I must appreciate her braveness of starting blogging. So far I know blogging thing is her new experience. And based on my experiences every time I persuade my friends to blog mostly their answers would be "I can't write", "I don't know how to blog", "I'm shame of my writings will be read by people", etc.

translate: I'm still afraid, but that's okay. This is a small step for a braveness.

I have to give Rini a credit. She admitted she's afraid. Afraid of what, that I don't understand. But, albeit she's afraid, she affirmed her intention which is learning to write through blogging. Please, my readers, give her some applause! *applausing*

Rini has reminded me Mr. Darin's post. About William Hung's trying to go audition on American Idol, despite his lack of singing and dancing capability. And, as I commented on the post, I wrote:

My opinion about this, well, the least I could say is never afraid of trying. Trying to write, of course in this case. Just like Hung guy wasn't afraid and he gave his best shot. That is we must appreciate and we can learn from that.

Rini has just showed me that. She's actually not afraid of trying. Let say that she's afraid, well, she already defeated her fear.

p.s.: *talk to myself* So, this is what it feels like being an inspirational one for others. Lovely feeling.

Irfan Bachdim and All These Publicities ...

... are annoying me.

Now, tell me, who amongst you who don't know Irfan Bachdim? Or worse, never hear his name? Shame on you, if you don't know him. For him already famous in Indonesia, particularly amongst women.

and this is Irfan Bachdim

Irfan is a new football rising star in Indonesia and he's only 22 years old. So far in AFF Suzuki Cup, he has scored two goals.

I have to admit I liked him when I first saw him playing against Malaysia. His face caught my attention. Yes, for me he is good looking and I'm pretty sure millions of Indonesian women out there agree with me about this. You don't agree with me? Fine by me. sengihnampakgigi Plus, he played really good in that game. He made Indonesia played impressive. Certainly, he contributed to the team.

But then I changed my mind. Indonesia impressive games that had been shown to us when against Malaysia and Laos were not merely contributed by Irfan. Yes, he played good, but don't forget the other ten men on the pitch that wore red and white jersey. And the other players that sat on the bench.

I can't tell you, my fellow readers, about skills that Irfan posesses or how he plays in football technical language. I'm not capable of that. But, I can tell you this he's still young and has a lot of potensial inside him and I'm afraid overexposed publicities are only making he's conceited. This young man--and another players on national team--is our pride and hope that he and his mates will uplift our national football team to up level. We have been sinking in low level too long. We are longing a trophy. We are craving a winner title. And who knows this team, which now is playing on AFF Suzuki Cup, will surprise us in international championship. Who knows Indonesia will qualify into World Cup?

But then, I'm afraid with all these exaggerate publicities about Irfan will delude him and disrupt his concentration about his game, his football, his career. Who can guarantee me that he won't be tempted to play in s(h)i(t)netron or starring a Sozzis commercial ads? Or maybe he will replace Bambang Pamungkas in Biskuat advertisement? Just kidding. My point is it's too bad if Irfan's got swayed by all the adoration and publicities that he's got and then that will make him forget everything what he's been striving for in the first place, which is to play in Indonesia national team.

Come on, ladies and gentlemen. He's not THE ONLY player in our national team. There are Bambang Pamungkas, Okto, Firman Utina, Arif Suyono, Markus Horizon, and the others. And all of them are contributing to the team. I believe all of them are giving all the very best of them to Indonesia and to us.

Come on, guys. Don't act as if you never see a handsome and skilled football player. And, yes, I'm pointing at you, Infotainment Media.

[Book] LoTR: The Fellowship of The Ring

Judul: Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring (Sembilan Pembawa Cincin)
Penulis: J. R. R. Tolkien
Penerjemah: Gita Yuliani K.
Penerbit: PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama (cetakan VIII, January 2010)
Halaman: 511
ISBN: 978-979-686-693-9

Perjalanan menuju Rivendell dipastikan penuh bahaya mengancam.

Satu set box collection sekaligus, yang isinya ada The Hobbit dan tiga buku Lord of The Rings.

Hello, World!

Kenapa judul tulisan kali ini "Hello, World"?

Enggak tahu kenapa. Terus, saya pikir-pikir lagi, ya sudahlah daripada nanti saya gak ngeblog lagi mending saya bikin blog baru aja. Blog baru, semangat baru. Betul? Betuuul...

Haha. Nyampah banget dah nih tulisan.

Welcoming Indoleaks

Jullian Assange.
I think he is cute!

I may not really know about Jullian Assange and his controversial Wikileaks, even though I read about the story of his "rape" and now he was arrested by UK police.

From news I have heard and read, they say Wikileaks has been leaking important news and information that should have been classified. Some classified information have made US government panicked. While some information make others feel like to comment that, well, some countries are frighten with Wikileaks existence. While others feel they are inspired to make similar website. From China, Russia, and maybe another countries I haven't known. :D

And this morning, while I was reading my google reader, I found one blog (I forgot which blog. Forgive me!) mentioned Indoleaks.org. Filled with curiosity, I clicked the web. Okay, it is similar to Wikileaks, but it is from Indonesia.

It says that getting information is our right. It is born as an answer from a deadlock to get information that has been our right, especially information that may become a weapon to attack evil ruler, bad politicians, and other demonic clans, like orc, nazgul, troll, etc. Okay, the latter one I was joking. And as its admin replied one of the comments, they were inspired by Wikileaks. They admitted the idea was not originally theirs, but to heck with that. I don't care if they are copycats Jullian Assange, but I do respect their intention to provide us documents that are confidential when public--that means us, Indonesian citizen, or all of you who care about it--has a right to know.

Now, in Indoleaks there is nothing much to be found since it's a brand new website, I guess. Fresh from the oven. But, let's wait another controversial story. Oh, I can't wait! *smirk*
